Emergency Information:

January 27, 2010 3:00pm
Winter X Camp is on for this weekend. Roads are clear but there is still lots of snow on the ground, so be sure to pack plenty of warm clothes. Parking is limited due to the snow, so please car-pool as much as possible. We are expecting a completely full camp this weekend. Can't wait to see you there!

We are currently working on a temporary solution for our Waste Water Treatment Facility that would allow us to re-open camp. If all goes well this week, the weather holds and instillation of several temporary holding tanks can be completed, we plan to have Winter X camp this weekend as scheduled. Check back Thursday morning for final information.

God is good!
At about 7:30pm last night, power was restored to the Groom Creek area. The staff has returned to dig out cars and clear pathways in an effort to get things back to normal. There is currently about 16 inches of snow on the ground. We expect it to be here for a long time!
Monday we will be making a decision on our Waste Water Treatment Plant. There may be a temporary solution that will lead into a permanent solution. Our desire is to have things up and running for Winter X this weekend. Please continue to pray for the decision making and the wisdom needed to do so.

Last night, Prescott, as well as much of the rest of the state, experienced severe rain storms, followed by additional snow storms today. As a result of the rain and flooding, the Waste Water Treatment Facility at the camp was heavily damaged. We are unable to run camp until this damage is repaired and the state gives the approval on our continued use of the treatment plant. We are meeting with our insurance agents to discuss our options, however, since it appears that flooding was the cause of the damage, it is looking doubtful that our insurance policy will cover the repairs and down time. The camp currently has 10-12 inches of snow on the ground, and we have been without power for 24hrs.
Please Pray
- That the power would be restored soon.
- That the new storms predicted for the next several days, will cause no further damage.
- That the camp staff and leadership would have wisdom in deciding what direction to take next.
Thank you for your faithful prayers. We will keep you updated as we know more.

The rain from this storm overwhelmed and damaged our Waste Water Treatment Plant Facility.
We are unable to run camps until it is repaired and recertified by the state.
