CAMP GUEST GUIDELINES

During COVID-19 (Coronavirus) 2020

At Prescott Pines Camp, we are committed to providing the best possible experience for our guests. In this unprecedented time, we are relying on expert guidance from our state health department and the CDC to provide a safe environment for all who visit camp.

As a camp staff, we have committed to fulfill the following procedures and safety goals:

  1. All staff will notify their supervisor if they experience any known symptoms of COVID-19, if they have traveled outside of the state or have knowingly been in contact with an individual who tested positive for COVID-19.

  2. All staff will have their temperature checked daily to ensure that it is below 100.0° F.

  3. All Staff will wear a mask when interacting with guests and fellow staff members when less than 6 feet of one another.

  4. All dining room surfaces will be cleaned and disinfected before and after each meal.

  5. All public bathrooms will be at least cleaned twice a day. All lodging bathrooms will be cleaned once per day.

  6. All sleeping rooms will have fans to encourage airflow during the day.

  7. All meeting rooms will be cleaned at least once a day.

  8. All hand sanitizing stations will be checked daily.

  9. All recreation equipment will be sanitized before and after use.

  10. A specific cabin has been designated for campers who display symptoms of COVID-19.

In preparation for your visit to camp we want to share some expectations for your group. During your time at camp, you will be expected to arrive at your meals and recreation activities at your scheduled time. We ask that you adhere to social distancing guidelines with other groups, and only interact with PPC Staff and your own group. In an effort to minimize illness at camp, we ask that you check on the history of your camper's health 14 days prior to arrival. The best camp sessions start with healthy campers, and this begins at home.

Symptoms to look for:

Cough
Shortness of Breath
Fever
Chills
Muscle Pain
Sore Throat
New loss of Taste or Smell
Nausea/Vomiting
Other Flu-Like Symptoms

If any of these symptoms are displayed while at camp, please notify a PPC staff member who may recommend the implementation of our quarantine procedures.

COVID-19 (Coronavirus)

We wanted to let you know that the Prescott Pines staff are praying that you and your loved ones are staying healthy during this current COVID-19 coronavirus. We are grateful for the assurance and comfort we find in our faithful and loving God that holds the whole world in His hands.

As we seek to serve the Lord and His people during this challenging time, we are implementing extra safety measures to protect those we serve, as well as our staff and volunteers. While there is no known direct contact with the virus at our camp, we have implemented the following measures in compliance with the Arizona Department of Health Services and the Center for Disease Control. High contact surfaces such as doorknobs, tables, light switches, faucets and handles will be disinfected multiple times a day. In addition to our regular thorough cleaning, we are asking staff, guests, and campers to wash their hands often for 20 seconds or more and will make available hand sanitizer.

We are committed to understanding and complying with all guidance and regulations provided and established by the CDC, ADHS and local health agencies. We will therefore make decisions about suspending or cancelling Prescott Pines activities based on the guidance from these entities. We are still making plans for May and into the summer, bot those plans are fluid as we wait and see what happens during the coming days and weeks.

In locations where no restriction has been put in place, we are nonetheless committed to observing best practices when holding gatherings, events or trips. This includes encouraging hand washing, asking anyone with concerning symptoms or known contact with an infected person to stay home, etc.

With the current directive to cancel gatherings and events of 50 people or more we, unfortunately, will be cancelling our Man Camp scheduled for April 24-26.  Please click here for further details.

Rest assured, we are monitoring this situation closely, staying in regular contact with local, state, and federal agencies, health organizations, and other experts. As of today, Prescott Pines plans to resume normal operations as soon as we are able.

At this time Prescott Pines is asking for your prayers! Due to the closure and cancellations we will be operating for the month without an income stream, and we are forced to cut expenses in every department. Will you please join us in solidarity and prayer daily for Prescott Pines leadership, staff and all those that are affected by the decisions that are being made?

At this uncertain times it does not seem appropriate to be actively seeking financial donations. However, if you feel you are in a sold financial position and feel let to give, we would appreciate any donations. We leave all of this in God's hands for His provision.

Thank you for your patience and trust in Prescott Pines.  We look forward to serving you.  We are hopeful for the ministry still to come. It is comforting to know that we can trust God because He will not fail us!
